Finished!

The binding is finished on the raffle quilt.  Finally!  For some reason, this binding seemed to take forever.  But it is done and the deadline has been met.  Now to take the drive to Aunt Pat's house and deliver it.

Memorial Day 2012

Thanks to all of our service men and women on this Memorial Day! It is because of them that we can enjoy lazy days on the pond without worry. My friends and I had a great ride this afternoon.
Oh yes, still stitching the binding. Heading towards the fourth corner!

Viewing the flowers

Still working on the deck but noticing all of the irises in bloom around the yard. I thought you might enjoy seeing the flowers too!

The Third Corner

The third corner of what you ask?  Of the raffle quilt, of course.  I promised Aunt Pat that the quilt would be ready this week and it will be! But first the binding must be completed.  So when DH decided to go for a ride this afternoon, along came the raffle quilt.  I am now sewing the binding and getting ready to pass the third corner.  I KNOW it will be finished by Tuesday!

Sitting on the Deck....

On a Saturday afternoon, knitting a bit and sewing the binding on the Raffle Quilt. Not a bad way to spend the afternoon

Knitting Projects

I also do a lot of knitting.  Lately I have been working on these types of scarves.  I know it is not exactly scarf season but I do love making these!
This one should be finished later today.

Another post for today - still working on the UFO stash

Halfway through these blocks. But there is an alternate block before the quilt can be assembled.

Working on the UFO stash

Finished the last of these blocks this morning.  Now on to the sashings.  I should be able to assemble this quilt next week.  Finally making some progress on the UFO stash!

The Raffle Quilt

The Raffle Quilt has returned from the longarm quilter.  Sharon has done a wonderful job as usual.  Now to finish the binding and send it along to Aunt Pat.

A New Quilt for a New Blog

A new day! A new journey! A new blog!
I hope you will enjoy following along on my creative journey.
Still proud of "Orca Bay", designed by Bonnie K. Hunter and pieced by yours truly.

Stay tuned for the raffle quilt.
