January Recap

January 2018 has been busy with THREE Quilter's Retreats. Lots of friends, projects and good times.

A snowstorm or two...

The super red blood blue moon (although the picture above is not of that event)

And again lots of quilts!

On to February!

Louise, on the island, catching up!

February is Half Gone!

I just saw a quote that Angie, who is Gnome Angel, wrote on her Instagram page,

"Today I will be as useless as the "g" in lasagna"

Love it!

Describes me perfectly, to a "t", on some days, just not today!

A busy one is planned...

Polish food making in the morning,

Open Sew in the afternoon,

And NBQA meeting tonight!

Busy, busy!

Some recent finishes by others ( most everything of mine is in the block piecing stage)

Linda's "That-a-Way", a Cozy Quilts Designs pattern

Roxanne designed this top which uses some Thomas Kinkaid fabrics offset by blocks with inspirational, bible quotes.

The fabrics I am using for a "Labyrinth Walk" quilt in blues

A student's t-shirt quilt for her son in the design stage

Kate's "Pineapple Blossom" quilt for her sister (sorry about the lower right corner - the camera shifted in the case)

Peggy's "Garlic Knots" quilt top getting ready to be shown soon in a quilt show in Melbourne, Florida and locally at the NBQA show in April 2018.

One half of a "Quick Trips" quilt, (a Quilt in a Day pattern) that I am making for a class demo

The "Quick Trips" quilt being used as the class sample. Fabrics are from the "Summer Breeze V" collection from Moda that is now available in the shop, Piecing with Poppers Quilting Center.

Well, time has flown and I need to be leaving for the first assignment of the day.
Unfortunately, I am already late!

Hopefully this won't be a "g in lasagna" day!

Louise,
On the island watching (or more accurately, ignoring) the clock!
