June 3rd

The month is progressing as is my quilting projects.

Here are some pictures of some of the latest.

My first "Lucy Boston" English Paper Piecing block.
Here it is basted. In real life, it is half sewn together.

"Falling Charms" is ready for the long arm quilter - maybe that will be me!

Did I show you this one?
It is a square in a square sampler of "Grunge" fabrics.
I love this line in all of its wonderful colors!

"Maze" came out of storage for one of the recent photo sessions.
I don't remember if I showed it for that blog posting.
If I did, well, here it is again since I like it so much.

"Rainstick" is another fun favorite.
Again, sorry if I recently posted it - but, since I do love it, you get to see it again!

Well that is all for now.
I will have to find some of the other new quilts to show you in my next post!

Happy June!

Having returned from Missouri a week ago, I am almost back to reality.
I woke up this morning to June!

But before it gets too far into the new month as too far away from my trip, let me share a few pictures of my time in Hamiton Missouri at the Missouri Star Quilt Company.

The quilts below were found decorating the walls at the new Education Center and Theater at MSQC.

These are all published patterns from the MSQC so I believe I can show pictures of them.
As I remember the specific names of the quilts I will note that info under the quilt.

It was a great week in Hamilton Missouri.

I hope that some day I will be able to return there.

In the meantime, back to reality!
I hope your day and this new month go well.

Happy June!

Another Photo Shoot!

We spent another few hours this morning taking more pictures of quilts in the finished quilt stash.
If you can believe it, we had fun!

Here are some of today's pictures.

A scrap quilt from a pattern called "Catherin's Wheels"

"Fireworks" pattern from a Fons and Porter magazine from a few years ago.

"Trails End", a Candlelite Quilts pattern, is quilted in an A,B,C  pattern and uses fabrics which make it suitable for a younger child.

"Ice Cream Rails" uses one package of 2.5 inch strips in soft batiks and measures about 45" x 60"

"Baby Kisses" was made from 5 inch squares and is a Missouri Star Quilt Company pattern.

Quilt made from the "Turning Twenty" pattern utilizes 20 fat quarters.

We photographed several more quilts that will show up in future blog posts.
Look for those here in the future or in my Etsy shop next month.

Enjoy your afternoon!

Photo Shoot!

My sister, the photographer, came to the classroom this morning. She was assisted by my husband.  Here is a sampling of some of her images of my quilts.

Thirties fabrics in a 16 Patch Quilt

Using the "Grunge" line from Moda fabrics

An oldie, but goodie!

Another rendition of "Trails End", a Candlelite Quilts pattern

Another old favorite

All will soon be for sale in my Etsy shop. Stay tuned for more images and details on each quilt.

Catching up or ...

getting used to using blogger in a new way!

I have been struggling with posting these last few months since the blogger app is no longer working.
I now have to post using the web page format! If any one has had this difficulty and resolved it with an app friendly solution, please let me know!

But on to the latest...

I worked furiously in the past few weeks to finish tops and quilts for the trunk show I had last night with the Nimble Thimblers. This awesome group of ladies made us feel welcome and seemed to enjoy the presentation.

Thank you for inviting me to your guild!

Here are pictures of some of the quilts shown last night.

Mexican Star is only a top at this point.  It may be the next quilt on to the quilting frame.

Here is a crib sized quilt made from the leftovers of the kit purchased for the full sized "Fabulous 40" quilt. I just love sampler quilts and log cabins.

A five star sampler made with the  tool.

A small fabric sampler made with half rectangle tool.

A wall hanging made using the on point ruler and a charm pack from Tula Pink's "tabby" line.

"birdhouse" is a personal favorite of mine.  This version was made with fabrics from Moda's "Watercolor" line.

Milky Way made with "Grunge" for the background off white and the grey for the borders and four patches. The Stars were made from a ten square, layer cake of fabrics from a line called "Rustic Weave" from Moda Fabrics.

Working this way on my iPad is proving to be difficult.
So I will sign off now...
